This weekend: Test your skills at first-ever nationwide Wii tournament

Maple Leafers – do you love video games? Love playing the Nintendo Wii?

Well, then you’ll be super excited about the first-ever nationwide Wii tournament being held at Northgate Mall this weekend.

As part Wii Games: Summer 2010, Nintendo will host a Wii video game tournament from August 13 -15. The events will take place Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Qualifying winners will win a trip to Los Angeles to compete in the Wii Games: Summer 2010 national championship in September. The weekend-long event will also offer activities for consumers and families who aren’t competing in tournament play, including noncompetitive game play and the ability to sample other Wii games, such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Punch-Out!!.

So practice those tennis swings and bowling moves tonight — and put them to good use this weekend!
