Why not check out the Northgate Festival, put on by the Northgate Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Northgate Festival will take place in the lower south parking lot at Northgate Mall. They will also be closing a portion of 103rd between Northgate Mall and the new Thornton Place community for a street fair that will continue up into the plaza at Thornton Place.
The festival will take place on Saturday, September 11. Let’s hope the weather stays nice until then. Activities include a 50th birthday celebration for the Northwest Hospital and Medical Center (also sponsoring the event), a health fair, Mustangs at the Mall car show, great music, arts & crafts booths, and a new nonprofit area with neighborhood organizations on hand to provide information. Oh, and firefighters be on-hand to autograph calendars at festival.
